Prof. Gonano is specialized in providing competent diagnosis and treatment for patients suffering from acute, chronic or complex pain syndromes. Chronic Pains – Diagnosis and Therapy
Being confronted in my close family with the numerous problems a patient suffering from chronic pain has to deal with, led me to specialize in pain management and all its aspects many years ago.
Modern pain therapy requires years of experience and refinement. As a specialized discipline, it offers more than just “infiltration cures”. It is essential to discover the pain’s root, take into consideration the concomitant diseases and medications, and adapt patients’ expectations to realistic ones. After accurate diagnosis and consequent treatment, we often notice significant improvements after the second appointment. A sustainable relief of pain is expected after another three to four appointments. However, we might not always guarantee a 100% pain relief. In this case we will assist you in eclipsing the pain as much as possible, resulting in a new quality of life. This is how we define our claim “Living.Without pain.”

- Ultrasound- guided infiltration (facet joint, sacroiliac joint, …) and/or nerve block
